Edible fungus

  It is commonly called Shipi, a lower grade plant of lichen family. It is mild and nonpoisonous, good for eyes and can provide energy. Bamboo shoots, also named bamboo sprouts and bud. Jiuhua Mount abounds in Mao bamboo and Yuan bamboo. At the transitional period between winter and spring, farmers collect the shoots that are not likely to grow into bamboo. The shoots can be processed into dried shoots,slices and sheets. The delicious bamboo shoots have always been a speciality in Jiuhua Mountain.
